Windows Server 2019 Backup Software

In case you haven’t heard already, Windows Server 2019 is already released! And naturally, we need backup software for Windows Server 2019 and here it is!

Windows Server 2019 Download

For those who haven’t downloaded Windows Server 2019 yet, all you need to do is download the ISO from the Microsoft Evaluation Center. It’s a 180 day trial that you can convert to a licensed version when you buy it. If you just want to test it out, here is a tip.

“Playing” With Windows Server 2019 Without Reinstalling Windows

My suggestion is simple. As long as your computer has 2GB RAM and a USB 3.0 port do this. Instead of installing Windows Server 2019 on a hard drive, install it on a USB 3.0 stick. A very fast and low-cost USB stick for this purpose is Sandisk Ultra, either 64GB or larger. Use Rufus on a Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012 with the stick inserted and select the Windows Server 2019 ISO file. Select the option “Windows to Go” and select the USB stick. Rufus will then prepare your USB stick with Windows on it! Reboot the computer with the stick inserted and hit F12 to get to the boot menu options. Select boot from the USB and let Windows finish the installation. Now you will have a full blown Windows Server 2019 running from a USB stick, reasonably fast and without affecting your computer’s hard drive. I think that’s excellent for testing!
