Can Hyper-V, VirtualBox, or VMware coexist and run on same computer?

You might wonder if Hyper-V, VMware, and/or VirtualBox coexist and run on same computer or server, in particular a Windows host, and the answer is a clear no.

Some VMs might work with VMware Player or VMware Workstation and VirtualBox; however, it’s not stable and neither recommended. You will have to decide whether you want Hyper-V, VMware Workstation, or VirtualBox on the same PC or Windows Server. It won’t allow you to run them simultaneously or install one if you already have the other virtualization platform installed. And, if you manage to install it nevertheless, it’s likely to make the system unstable.

However, do you have the software you need to back up Hyper-V, back up VMware, or back up VirtualBox? If not, give BackupChain a shot, it’s cheap, easy to use and offers deduplication to save storage space.
